Body Corporate for Reef Terraces CTS 888 Committee Meeting - 28 February 2023
Five association members attended this meeting as observers.
According to Commercial Module Regulation 35 (4) the minutes of the meeting should have been distributed to owners on 21 March 2023.
When it was discovered the minutes were very late an association member made several enquiries to our manager. The minutes were emailed out to owners on 24 April 2023.
Commercial Module Regulation 35 (1) (a) requires the body corporate committee to take full and accurate minutes.
Commercial Module regulation 30 concerns Conflict of Interest where, if there is a possible conflict of interest (1) the member is not entitled to vote (2).
When the minutes finally came members contacted the association complaining about the incomplete list of correspondence.
Indeed, there was no correspondence tabled at the meeting and now there is an incomplete list of correspondence in the minutes?
The body corporate is named as the respondent in Adjudication 1286 - 2022. The Adjudication Application is under an ongoing investigation by the Commissioner of the Body Corporate and Community Management (BCCM) and the association considers it would be imprudent to make comment at this time.

Our incorporation documentation has not arrived just yet. The normal processing time is 6 weeks and we passed that last week. I rang the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) and received confirmation of our incorporation and an apology for not mailing out our documentation. I will probably send out a copy of the certificate when we confirm memberships of the new association.
