ROAD SAFETY
13 Dec 2019. Nice new signs paid for and installed by the Bally Hooley owners to replace the old ones at a request of the gardening and maintenance sub-committee.
This intersection of our front entrance crosses the Bally Hooley railway line, the shared path and three lanes of Port Douglas Road. To have a stop sign there makes a lot of sense. The Bally Hooley no longer runs and most of the rail track has been removed but that doesn't mean the stop sign should be removed. The adjoining property, Oaks Resort, left their stop sign in place but somebody removed ours.
If anybody knows who took the stop signs (2) down would you please ask them to put it back. In the meantime fellow owners please take care.
Body Corporate Committee Meeting Minutes
On Tuesday 26 June 2023 there was a Stage 1 Body Corporate (BC) Committee meeting.
Minutes for these sorts of meetings are supposed to be distributed to lot owners within 21 days according to the Commercial Module Regulations. There is a good reason for this, it is called communication between the BC committee and the lot owners. The minutes of the last three Stage 1 BC committee meetings have been late. Why?
When our Association or stages 2 and 3 have a meeting the minutes are published by Lunch Time the same day!!
There are possibly things that went on at last three Stage 1 meetings which the Stage 1 BC committee would like to be known later rather the sooner?
At a wild guess I think this one could be the calling of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to fix up the blunder of committees, since 2016, not conducting the committee elections according to the Commercial Module Regulations?
After some gentle prodding by an association member it is believed the minutes will be distributed today.
