Pool Bridge re-build

Lack of Communication - Pool Bridge re-build
Our building team have started work on rebuilding the Pool Bridge.
We have been kept in the dark about what was going on and were quite surprised when the old bridge was taken down earlier in the month.
Being kept in the dark by our manager/s and the committee has been a feature for some years now and owners are getting sick of it. We can change all this at the delayed Body Corporate for Reef Terraces CTS 888 Annual General Meeting (AGM).
When the agenda finally makes its way to us it will include 2 motions for Body Corporate Managers and there will be an election for the Body Corporate Committee.
We need some locals in the mix. We need a local Body Corprate Manager (BCS Port Douglas) and some committee members who live in Port Douglas.
Not to put to fine a point on it we need to elect committee members who know what they are doing.

Root shearing shovel

As mentioned in the last newsletter I have been having trouble with the garden bed in front of our villa. It is severely root bound and nothing much will grow in it.
The shovel allows me to cut out some blocks.
I am still experimenting with breaking the blocks up, discarding the root mass, to save the soil and adding some potting mix to make a better growing medium.
Reef Resort Owners Association General Meeting

At present our association is due to have its first Annual General Meeting before 31 December 2023. Committee thinks it prudent to delay the AGM so that it does not clash with the Body Corporate for Reef Terraces CTS 888 AGM which should have been held by 31 October 2023 and provided a special resolution on how to conduct Committee elections passes at the 11 December 2023 EGM now looks like the earliest it can be held is 1 January 2024.
A general meeting of the Reef Resort Owners Association has been called for on Sunday 10 December 2023 and members have been informed. The main thing on the association agenda is to change the end of our finacial year date to allow our AGM to be held late in the first half of 2024.
