Pool temperature was 27.3 degrees yesterday despite one of two heating elements not working. A replacement element has been ordered.

At Sunday's Committee Meeting a few ideas came to light. One was, we now have 45 members and a lot of them are new to the scheme. We have 3 new owners on the committee alone. During this discussion one of the new owners told me that one of my explanations was clearest she had heard. I have repeated it below.
That idea was further reinforced by an email exchange I had with another new owner on Monday.
It is daunting to buy into a large scheme and hear about some of the problems. All schemes have problems from time to time but what is concerning to most of us is the body corporate (BC) committee is not well represented by resident owners and so for the most part the BC committee are unaware of them.
Adjudicator's Interim Order 1232 - 2020

Like most owners I receive Committee Meeting Minutes and I read them. I saw where a Vote Outside Committee Meeting (VOCM) was about to give $17,826.50 of our funds to Reef Resort Pty Ltd (RR-PL) on behalf of Stage 2 CTS 18180.
I was secretary of Stage 2 and we considered that Stage 2 did not owe any money to RR-PL.
I tried to rectify this with the Stage 1 Committee four times but it fell on deaf ears. I applied to the Commissioner of the Body Corporate and Community Management (BCCM) for an Interim Order to stop the payment. An Adjudicator agreed and made the order. The money was saved.

The interim order is a public document and can be found on the web:
