Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM)
The Body Corporate for Reef Terraces CTS 888 is to hold another EGM to determine how to conduct Committee elections as required by the Commercial Module Regulations..

Why?

The Accommodation Module changed to the Commercial Module in 2016.
Since then the body corporate manager and the body corporate committee continued to conduct committee elections as if the body corporate was still in the Accommodation Module.
The oversight of this legislation requirement did not come to light until the 2022 Annual General meeting (AGM) in which several other irregularities also occurred. Directly after the AGM saw a 4 term committee member resign, a Concilliation Application, an Adjudication Application to have the AGM declared void, five owners selling up, 22 owners demanding the replacement of the body corprate manager via a solicter's letter and the formation of the Reef Resort Owners Association Incorporated.
It is at that point, on advice by an owner on 30 November 2022, the EGM should have been held.

Our association does not have membership fees or any sort of income. We still have costs and have expended funds on establishing the association. Committee has thought of providing an owner's portal to the website which will also need funding. Donations will be gratefully accepted. Please contact the Association to make a donation.
